Photography has been a huge part of my creative journey since I started in 2023. In that time, I've learned that photography isn't just about clicking a button. it's a blend of art, technical skill, patience, and passion. Like anything worthwhile, it comes with its highs and lows. Here are the biggest pros and cons of photography, whether you're just starting out or already deep in the craft.

Pros Of Photography

1. Creative Freedom - One of the best parts is the freedom to create whatever you imagine. You can experiment with lighting, composition, editing styles, and subject matter until your photos match your vision.

2. It's Genuinely Fun - Photography is an enjoyable way to explore the world. Whether you're shooting portraits, landscapes, street scenes, or products, the process feels like an adventure.

3. A New Way To See The World - Once you start shooting, you notice details most people walk right past like patterns, textures, shadows, symmetry, and emotions

4. Endless Learning & Growth - Photography offers a lifetime of improving new techniques, gear, styles, and technologies keep it exciting.

5. Creative Outlet & Stress Relief - For many people, shooting is therapeutic. Getting behind the camera can help clear your mind

Cons Of Photography

1. Cost Adds Up Fast - This is one of the biggest downsides. Cameras, lenses, lighting, memory cards, editing software, storage drives. Photography can get expensive very quickly.

2. Time Consuming - it's not just taking the shot. It's scouting locations, setting up, editing, exporting, backing up files, and delivering work. A 'simple' shoot can take hours.

3. Steep Learning Curve - Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, lighting, color grading, composition and there's a lot to learn before you feel confident.

4. Editing Fatigue - Many beginners don't realize that editing can take longer than shooting. Spending hours behind a screen can be draining.

5. Technology Changes Fast - New gear, software updates, and industry trends can make it feel like you're always trying to keep up.
